Masculine and Feminine Energies Intertwine : Acrylic on Wood.Masculine and Feminine Energies Intertwine and give Birth To The Universe.Shortly after first encountering the work of David Deida I had a meditative experience that influenced this piece.I meditated on the idea of masculine and feminine energies that flow within all of us. As this concept swirled around my head I felt these energies flowing.As I watched these energies flow through me I saw my eyes turn into the sun and moon, representations of these energies. These manifestations danced a dance of playful joy and intertwined, the moon watching and reflecting the suns radiant beauty. As this all happened through me I felt my third eye start to sparkle. I felt it open, not as the eye of true sight and enlightenment, but as the very vehicle of existence itself.As I watched a light emanated from this spot giving birth the all that has and will be. This spot became a representation of the women's vagina, the gateway to life. Life being the result of masculine and feminine energies dancing

The Invading Presence : Acrylic & spray paint on woodThis piece is a reflection of a mediative experience were you feel the rise and fall of the breath, which develops into an awareness of the ascent and descent of all that is.By concentrating on the movements of the breath alone your body dissolves and you become aware of your subtle body. This also melts away and your awareness begins to expand to realize the movement of all living things, the breath of creation. As my awareness expanded more I became aware of the flux of matter itself, the space surrounding atoms and molecules, the push and pull games that holds all that is together.My awareness then changed and I became aware of evolution, the unfelt drive to move forward, and the opposite force, not hindering evolution, but the knowing of were it is leading. This feeling produced this image in my mind, by different bodies of awareness vibrating in tune with what I can only call god.

SelfSunSet : Acrylic on woodThis piece was inspired by the idea among some thinkers that the idea of 'messiah' is actually the awakening of your true self. The image itself came to me just after a deep session of meditation when I was reflecting on my own spiritual journey. The settling of turbulent emotions, the idea of knowing yourself only by your shadow, not your true self , until you begin to create an I over the Self. You identify with your shadow self, not the whole I.

I got my girlfriend to photograph me in different worshiping positions, I then collage these together to create this image. I stuck a quick background on it before I do the next bit....

He is She is He : Acrylic on WoodDuring an early meditation where you concentrate on your breathing alone I experienced this painting. At the point when the concentration of the warm exhale and the friction of the cold inhale was all that occupied my mind I felt me nose turn into a mountain. I felt the seasons change around me as I stood strong. I then felt my grounding to the earth and my connection to all on the earth.In a blissful moment of union I felt my masculine and feminine side's come together as they saw through one eye. This union gave birth to a radiant sunset that set the whole cosmos alight as my awareness was expanded to realize the landscape of all sentient beings.This painting has taken over six months to be realized since those few moments of eternity. It was one of the first great meditative insights I had and was also an early inspiration for me to start painting again after finishing my degree years ago.Peace & Blessings
